Warm and spicy on the nose, with red cherry, currant and plum layered over pepper, toasted oak and a subtle savoury hint of black olive. The palate is supple and smoothly handled, with bright acidity, balanced structure, lifted violet perfume and a dusting of fine, rounding tannin. Medium-bodied and dry, it carries a lovely savoury pulse of warm toast, cracked pepper, and dried herbs through the finish. Polished, composed and showing its colours nicely.
