What is the Wine Writer?

All reviews are written by Sammy Wilkinson DipWSET (unless noted).
Every wine is poured into the Jancis Robinson “One Glass for Every Wine” and judged on the 100-point scale, paired with a star rating.

  • A 5-Star wine at $20 isn’t the same as a 5-Star wine at $200.

  • Scores weigh typicity, quality, and value for what’s in the glass.

  • Wines are tasted individually, never in line-ups.

  • Reviews for 4-Star / 85+ point wines and above are published on the website, with promotional stickers available for qualifying wines.
