What a nose! Abundant with red fruit, a teasing mineral edge, ripe currants, dried herbs, clove and smoky bacon fat. The palate follows through with deep, elegant flavours: sweet red fruit, woodsmoke, vanilla pod and just a touch of gunflint, all riding on crunchy acidity and fine tannins. It’s concentrated and long, polished but with a rugged edge, weaving together perfumed fruit and savoury complexity. It’s a beauty.
