Electric Orange in colour, with heady aromas of young wild strawberry, redcurrant, and rose petals, along with orange peel and rooibos herbal tea, and a soft earthiness. The palate is raw-edged, with bright tart cranberry fruit, orange peel, and nervy acidity, some savoury, button-mushroom character, and a mineral line that carries meadow herbs and citrus flavours onto the textural finish. A cloudy, complex alternative style of rose that demands dissection and conversation. This wine is not for those who seek fresh, fruit-forward roses, but will reward those looking for honesty, complexity, maturity and interest.
